Perfect food. Friendly service and staff. We feel welcomed and we really enjoy our lunch there. Worth visiting whether you stay nearby or you are just on your way on A-5

We ate here twice while we were staying in Santa Cruz de la Sierra and both times were wonderful experiences. The server went to a lot of trouble to make us comfortable and get us what we wanted and the food was some of the best we've had on our trip. I recommend taking a family style approach and getting a salad or two and a meat dish. Everything is generous portions and absolutely delicious. They know how to use a grill. Definitely a 5 star experience both times. I wish I had more reasons to find myself in this part of the world so I could go back again.

In a very nice garden, we came 2 adults and 2 kids and ate a super tasty piece of beef! Great service in a very friendly atmosphere... And at a very fair price. We recommend it!!

Great restaurant near the A5 in case you are travelling to or from the South The staff is friendly, the tomato's are cultivated on their own and truly worth it We ordered the daily menu and were surprised positively

A Hidden Gem with True Home-Cooked Flavor! We had the fixed menu for lunch and were blown away by the quality — every dish was delicious, made with care, and full of authentic, typical flavors. The service was excellent: warm, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. For dessert, I couldn’t resist trying both the natilla and the flan — both homemade and absolutely divine! A wonderful place that feels like eating at someone’s home. Highly recommended!

A wonderful garden with a very helpful and welcoming staff. The food is nicely prepared and many of the vegetables of the parrilla we had, came directly from their vegetable garden.

What a little gem we found on our way back to Madrid, by just randomly Googling! It is not on the roadside but detour is barely 2 minutes. In this sleepy village of 320 inhabitants this restaurant has an oasis of green with trees and grass, perfect for a stop when driving on the A5. We had Menu del Dia for 20 eur and the portions were big and the food delicious. The salmorejo and tomatoes from the salad were from their garden. Service also very nice, engaging and attentive. Will definitely come back when I need a place for lunch during a similar trip! Just one remark I would like to call attention to. There are a lot of cats searching for leftovers in the garden. None of them are neutered and looks like the colony keeps on growing uncontrolled as one of the staff said there were 8 kittens at the back. He also mentioned that it is the neighbour house's cats, like avoiding any responsibility but I want to please call out to everyone in the Mesón to take collective action and call some organization that can help do TNR ASAP! Here some options: - Asociación Cacereña para la Protección y Defensa de los Animales -Asociación Protectora Felina de Cáceres - Asociación Protectora de Animales Huellas Sin Voz de Extremadura Por favor, hagan lo posible para esterilizar a estos gatitos lo antes posible con los programas de captura, esterilización y retorno (TNR)
